Volunteer fire services across the Shire of Gingin working with landowners, project sponsors and our technology partner Origo, have implemented a network of Automatic Weather Stations providing weather data with a 5-minute update frequency for fire and emergency management purposes. We recognise that the weather can impact all those who visit or live in our diverse Local Government area and therefore want to ensure that information is available to the public generally.
The initial network consists of six automatic weather stations across the Shire of Gingin complementing the existing stations commissioned by the Bureau of Meteorology and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
